Tommasi
In the heart of the Valpolicella Classico region, just to the north of Verona, the original Tommasi vineyards, from the turn of the twentieth century, grew out of the estate owned by Giacomo Battista Tommasi's new wife's family. Four generations later, their descendants have rightfully earned a reputation for quality and reliability. The wines here exude all the personality of the Corvina grape, the backbone of the reds. Today the family has 115 hectares of Valpolicella Classico as part of its 242 hectares under vine. Alongside the Valpolicella range (which, of course, includes Amarone, Ripasso and the fabulous Recioto as well as regular Classico Superiore), there are now 45 hectares of Lugana in the Fornaci vineyards at the southern end of (almost in!) Lake Garda. Alongside the Tommasis' love of Valpolicella wines, Lugana is clearly their new passion. See Tommasi Sorry, but a serious database error occurred. It is not possible to continue.
