Tasting Notes: The vine age and low yields ensure a dense and deep wine which can age for decades (decant if you want to enjoy this wine before its first 2-3 years of cellaring).
All wines from this estate | Drinking Dates: 2015 to 2025 | Cépagement: 90% Grenache, 10% blend of old vine grapes (vineyard planted 1901-1902 at La Crau) | Upbringing: Yields are extremely low (16-18hl/ha). The wine is unfiltered so there is potential for natural and beneficial sediment. | ABV: 15% | Critic Reviews: "A sweet bouquet of black cherry liqueur, blackberry, roasted herbs, melted liquorice and smoked earth to go with a voluptuous, up-front and fruit-loaded profile on the palate... it's a gorgeous, full-bodied and beautifully balanced effort that will drink well through 2026." 93/100 ( Wine Advocate)
'Very dark blackish crimson. Headily potent with some floral notes. Very smooth and polished. Firm with sufficient ripe fruit for the acidity. No excess alcohol nor tannin. One of the more muscular examples. It’s not playing the intense ripe fruit card.' 17/20 (Jancis Robinson MW)
