Really tasty, fruity Cabernet with lots of black fruit and some Provencal character (a trace of herbs) and good tannic support. Really impressive.
"Without wanting to sound pretentious, to me, the nose is hot dry eucalyptus with some rusty nails thrown in. In the mouth, again quite dry, slightly astringent, not too baked, with good fruit and a pleasant finish. I can imagine it being very good with some rustic cheese or a rich herby provencal lamb dish." (J. Pender)
"Love it!! Really nice wine and enjoyable just on its own." (J. Maling)

"Domaine des Anges is a delightful estate stared by an Englishman back in the 1970s which showed the locals how good their tired Côtes du Ventoux wines could be if only they made a bit more effort. Well, Cabernet Sauvignon is very untraditional in this area but the results are delicious and you can really get a sense of sun-bleached hillside stones and pine resin and wild thyme swept into the vineyard by the howling Mistral. Add delightful blackberry and plum fruit and this is a class act at a very fair price." (Oz Clarke's 250 Best Wines, 2010)
