Tasting Notes: Tasted at Beaucastel, the fruit in the 2017 Coudoulet seemed especially expressive with all the usual black cherry fruit and spiciness. The tannins are smooth but in any case it it the fruit that dominates.

| Drinking Dates: 2021 to 2027 | Cépagement: 40% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, 20% Syrah, 20% Cinsault | Upbringing: Handpicking and hand-sorting is followed by flash heating of the berries to 80°C and cooling to 20°C. Blending after malolactic fermentation then ageing in large oak foudres for 6 months | ABV: 13.5% | Critic Reviews: 'Fragrant, spicy, fairly light compared with Famille Perrin's Gigondas and Vinsobres cuvées. Still a closed book, but the clarity of fruit is very promising.' 16.5/20 ( Richard Hemming MW, jancisrobinson.com) |
