Pronounced black fruit which reminds me of a cool climate Aussie Shiraz, the sort that is bottled as Syrah to distinguish it from the jammy Barossa wines but with slightly wilder fruits and liquorice too as well as a little spice. Structurally, this is moderately tannic with good acidity to help it age interestingly over six or seven years. I am told to expect more floral characters over time which should be interesting.
