Tasting Notes: The three varieties marry well here: Vermentino brings citrus and floral aromas and lively acidity whilst Roussanne offers honey and hawthorn characters and dominates the nose. The backbone of the wine, however, is Grenache Gris which adds fat, length and brings out the terroir’s mineral characteristics. Fresh and persistent with good roundness and weight. | Drinking Dates: 2018 to 2020 | Cépagement: 70 % Grenache Gris, 15 % Vermentino, 15 % Roussanne (17hl/ha) | Soil: Schist | Upbringing: Hand-harvested in the morning to prevent unwanted oxidation. Fermentation in barrels. Matured 7 to 8 months in 10% new barrels and on lees to develop the wine's fat. Malolactic fermentation blocked to maintain the wine's freshness. | Food: Fish, white meat. |
