Tasting Notes: A little more Syrah this year, adding more black fruit character. Very drinkable now (2017) but will soften and flesh out over the next few years. | Drinking Dates: 2017 to 2021 | Cépagement: 70% Grenache, 30% Syrah | Upbringing: ORGANIC. Aged on its lees in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 9 months. | ABV: 14% | Critic Reviews: "Pale to mid crimson. Full and rich with a hint of something gamey before lots of vital juice. Lots of grip, concentration and ambition. Seems a shame that this fruit used to disappear into a co-op blend.... Pretty hot on the end but good tension on the way there. Really full of 2015 life. Already delightfully readable but clearly this has the potential to become more complex. VGV" 17/20 ( Jancis Robinson MW)
"A terrific entry level wine from this estate. Jammy black raspberries, black cherries, liquorice and herbal notes all give way to a medium-to-full-bodied, ripe, rounded, beautifully textured red that's loaded with fruit." 89/100 (Wine Advocate) |
