Tasting Notes: One of the most complete Chateauneufs I have ever tasted. This is classic 2010 with wonderfully pronounced fruit and excellent tannic support but, along with other top 2010s, it is the acidity that sets it apart. Superb.
All wines from this producer | Drinking Dates: 2015 to 2025+ | Cépagement: Xavier declines to give this information, saying it is impossible because of complantation. He does say that all 13 permitted varieties are to be found in this wine. | ABV: 14.5% | Critic Reviews: The powerful, rich 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Anonyme reveals an off-the-chart level of extract, lots of glycerin (nearly 16% natural alcohol) and copious black cherry, blueberry, forest floor, lavender and graphite characteristics. This full-throttle red requires 3-4 years of cellaring and should keep for two decades." 95+/100 ( Wine Advocate) |
