Tasting Notes:
A wine from grapes grown across the region, this is a powerful red but never overpowering. Sweet black fruits dominate but are kept in check by superb structural elements. The power of the fruit makes it extremely drinkable already.

All wines from this producer

Drinking Dates:
2020 to 2025
Cépagement:
40% Grenache, 25% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah, 7% Cinsault, 7% Marselan, 6% Terret Noir from all over the valley.
Upbringing:
Harvest dates are determined by daily tasting of grapes and analysis of polyphenols. Separate fermentation, by "couple" of variety showing the same maturity level. Due to the exceptional quality of the fruit in 2016, the wine was aged for 12 months in small concrete tanks to preserve the fruit purity.
ABV:
14.5%
Critic Reviews:
'A bit richer and more concentrated than the straight Cotes du Rhone, Vignon's Cotes du Rhone 100% is medium to full-bodied and dark in colour, with silky tannins, purple fruit flavours and hints of dried spices and garrigue. It should drink wel for the next 5-6 years.' 90/100 (Wine Advocate)

'Brought up in tank, demi-muids, and some smaller barrels (only one-third in wood), the Côtes du Rhône Cuvée 100% is another fresh, lively wine from this estate. Black raspberries, scorched earth, lavender, and cured meat notes as well as lots of pepper all flow to a medium-to-full-bodied, fresh, elegant red that has good acidity, beautiful purity, and a great finish. Drink it over the coming 7-8 years.' 91/100 (Jeb Dunnuck)
